About this consultation

Community members have raised concerns about on-street parking along Tedstone Crescent, Balwyn.

The concern is about property access and traffic flow due to on-street parking. While 'No Stopping' restrictions apply to parts of Tedstone Crescent, vehicles are allowed to park on both sides in a narrow section of the Crescent.

We have assessed the parking situation and now invite your feedback on proposed changes to parking restrictions.

We are proposing to change the 'No Stopping' parking restrictions to increase available parking spaces so that vehicles do not park opposite each other.

The proposed changes to parking restrictions are in line with our:

  • Parking Management Policy 2017
  • Parking Management Procedures 2017.

  • Current parking restrictions

The current parking restrictions on Tedstone Crescent are:

    • 2-hour (2P, 8 am to 11 pm) parking restrictions in place along with signed 'No Stopping' areas.

    Proposed changes

    We are proposing to:

  • Adjust the 'No Stopping' restrictions to ban vehicles from parking opposite each other along the Crescent.
  • Vehicles with a valid residential parking permit will not be exempt from the 'No Stopping' restrictions although they remain exempt from the 2-hour restrictions. To find out if you’re eligible for a permit and how to apply, visit our Residential parking permits page.
