About this consultation

We have been contacted by a community member who had a concern about the on-street parking configuration along Pretoria Street in Deepdene.

We have assessed the situation and now invite your feedback on proposed changes to parking for a section of this road.

The concern raised is about the lack of on-street parking availability for residents and their visitors.

We are proposing to replace the Monday-to-Friday parking restrictions on the western side of Pretoria Street with 'Permit Zone, 7 am-7 pm Mon-Fri'.

The proposed changes to parking restrictions are in line with our:

  • Parking Management Policy 2017
  • Parking Management Procedures 2017.

  • Current parking restrictions

The current parking restrictions on both sides of the street are:

    • '2P 7 am-7 pm Mon-Fri and 2P 7 am-1 pm Sat'

    Proposed changes

Introduce 'Permit Zone 7 am-7 pm Mon-Fri' by replacing the existing '2P 7 am-7 pm Mon-Fri' on the west side of Pretoria Street. This side's existing '2P 7 am-1 pm Sat' will be retained.

The proposed changes are only along the frontages to properties 1 to 13 Pretoria Street. There are no proposed parking changes for the east side of the street.

Vehicles with a valid residential parking permit are and will be exempt from parking restrictions in this area. To find out if you’re eligible for a permit and how to apply, visit our Residential Parking Permits page.
