Background
From 26 February to 12 March 2026, we consulted our community on proposed changes to on-street parking along Windella Avenue, between Valerie Street and Strathwyn Place in Kew East.
We invited residents and property owners to participate in this consultation. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed changes.
What we asked
We asked for your feedback on the proposal to introduce a '2P 8 am-6 pm, Mon-Fri' restriction on the eastern side of Windella Avenue, between Valerie Street and Strathwyn Place. Changes to parking restrictions are made if:
- we receive feedback from at least 10% of people invited to share their feedback, and
- a minimum 55% support the proposed changes.
What we heard
We received responses from a sufficient number of eligible community members.
- 71% supported the proposal
In accordance with our Parking Management Policy, we will change the parking restriction.
What happens next
With majority support received (71%), we will proceed to introduce '2P 8 am-6 pm, Mon-Fri' on the eastern side of Windella Avenue, between Valerie Street and Strathwyn Place.
These changes will occur by early April 2026.
