Background
From 5 March to 12 March 2026, we consulted our community on proposed changes to on-street parking along Ursa Street, between Dorado Avenue and Vega Street in Balwyn North
We invited residents and property owners to participate in this consultation. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed changes.
What we asked
We asked for your feedback on the proposal to introduce a '2P 8 am-6 pm, Mon-Fri' restriction on both sides of Ursa Street, between Dorado Avenue and Vega Street. Changes to parking restrictions are made if:
- we receive feedback from at least 10% of people invited to share their feedback, and
- a minimum 55% support the proposed changes.
What we heard
We received responses from a sufficient number of eligible community members.
- 46% supported the proposal
- 54% opposed the proposal
In accordance with our Parking Management Policy, we will not change the parking restriction.
What happens next
As the proposed changes are not supported by at least 55% of participants, there will be no change to the existing parking restrictions.
