Community members have contacted Council about parking along Oberwyl Road, between Ruyton Street and Stornoway Road in Camberwell.

We’ve looked at the parking situation and now want your feedback on proposed changes to parking rules.

The proposed changes to parking restrictions are in line with our:

  • Parking Management Policy 2017
  • Parking Management Procedures 2017.


    • Current parking restrictions

    • Unrestricted up to the curve connecting Oberwyl Road and Stornoway Road

    Proposed changes

    We are proposing to introduce this restriction:

  • No Stopping on the western (even) side of Oberwyl Road from Ruyton Street to Stornoway Road on Saturday and Sunday.
    All vehicles, including resident vehicles, will be prohibited from parking in this section of Oberwyl Road on Saturday and Sunday.

    Owners and occupiers of properties with a frontage to Oberwyl Road near the affected area will be eligible to have their say.

    What happens after this consultation

    In accordance with our Parking Management Policy, we will change the parking restrictions if 55% or more of all eligible responses support the proposed changes.
