About this consultation
Council has received feedback from community members about parking along Edgevale Road between Stirling Street and Cotham Road in Kew.
In response, Council staff conducted parking surveys and the results indicated that the overall parking occupancy exceeded 75% on several occasions. This level of demand meets the threshold in Council's Parking Management Policy and Procedures 2017 for considering further parking restrictions.
To improve availability of on-street parking for residents and their visitors, Council is proposing to introduce '2P' parking restrictions, replacing the unrestricted parking spaces.
The proposed changes are in line with our:
Parking Management Policy 2017 Parking Management Procedures 2017.
Current parking restrictions
- Unrestricted between Stirling Street and No. 141 on the west side (odd-numbered properties).
- '4P, 8 am-5 pm, Mon-Fri' between No. 141 and Cotham Road on the west side (odd-numbered properties).
- Unrestricted between Cotham Road and Stirling Street on the east side (even-numbered properties).
