About this consultation

We have received feedback from members of the community expressing concerns regarding the current two-hour (2P) parking limit at the off-street car park located on Delany Close in Canterbury.

The existing parking restriction is intended to promote regular turnover of vehicles, thereby increasing availability for other visitors to the area. However, we acknowledge that this time limit may not adequately accommodate individuals who wish to visit multiple destinations or shops in this area.

Following a review of the parking conditions, we are now seeking your input on proposed amendments to this car park's parking restriction.

Your feedback will help us ensure that the parking arrangements better meet the needs of of this area.

The proposed changes are in line with our:

  • Parking Management Policy 2017
  • Parking Management Procedures 2017.

  • Current parking restrictions

    • 2P 8 am - 6 pm Mon-Fri
    • 2P 8 am - 1 pm Sat

    Proposed changes

We’re proposing to change these restrictions to:

    • 3P 8 am - 6 pm Mon-Fri
    • 3P 8 am - 1 pm Sat

All parked vehicles will be subject to the parking restriction unless a valid parking permit, as example, disability permit or other similar exemption applies.
