From 20 October 2025 to 7 November 2025, we consulted relevant stakeholders on proposed parking changes to the off-street car park located on Delany Close in Canterbury.
We invited business owners and relevant stakeholders to participate in this consultation. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the proposed changes.
What we asked
We asked for your feedback on the proposal to change increased the parking duration for the off-street car park located on Delany Close, from two-hours (2P) to a three-hours (3P).
Changes to parking restrictions are made if:
- we receive feedback from at least 10% of people invited to share their feedback, and
- a minimum 55% support the proposed changes.
What we heard
We received responses from an adequate level of eligible community members.
- 93% supported the proposed changes.
What happens next?
With a majority support received to introduce the parking restrictions, we will proceed to update the parking restrictions for the off-street car park on Delany Close to:
- 3P 8 am - 6 pm Mon-Fri
- 3P 8 am - 1 pm Sat
All parked vehicles will be subject to the parking restriction unless a valid parking permit, as example, disability permit or other similar exemption applies.
