Planning Panel appointed

The Minister for Planning has appointed a Planning Panel to consider Amendment C394boro.

Council’s Urban Planning Delegated Committee (UPDC) resolved to refer all submissions on the amendment to an independent Planning Panel during a committee meeting on 16 October 2023. A Directions Hearing was held on Monday 13 November 2023 to clarify administrative matters before the Panel Hearing.

Planning Panel hearing details

The Planning Panel has confirmed the following details for the hearing:

About the Panel process

Planning Panels Victoria organises the Panel process. They will invite all submitters to take part in the Panel Hearing process. If you are a submitter, you will have the opportunity to speak at the hearing in support of your submission.

After the Panel Hearing, the Panel will prepare a report for Council’s consideration. We must make this report publicly available within 10 business days of receiving it.

We will then review the Panel report and prepare our own report with recommendations to be considered by Council’s UPDC. The UPDC does not need to accept the Panel’s recommendations and may resolve to make more changes to the amendment.

Circulation of documents

As directed by the Panel, Council’s Part A Submission must be circulated by 12 noon on Monday 27 November 2023.

Any expert witness statements must be circulated by Monday 4 December 2023.
